Our people must learn to do good by meeting the urgent needs of others; then they will not be unproductive.

As children of God, we are called to lead productive lives. One way to do this is by meeting the needs of others. All around us, there are people in need and we have a responsibility to help in whatever way we can. Many times, after a natural disaster, urgent needs arise and many of us are prone to sit back and ignore the pleas for help, thinking that others can respond.

We cannot be idle believers or be blind to the needs of others. Under our very noses many are in dire need. A friend could be struggling to make ends meet, a single mother may need help with babysitting or an elderly person may need someone to talk to. Ignoring the needs around us is a poor profession of our faith and discredits our testimony. When we minister to the needs of others, we are showing God's love in tangible ways that really matter.

Thank you Lord for Your many blessings. Help me to never ignore the needs of those around me. I want to be obedient and productive and show Your love in a tangible way. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
