Bible Verse for April 25th.

And The Lord came and called as before, "Samuel! Samuel!"
And Samuel replied, "Speak, Your servant is listening."

1 Samuel 3:10

Oftentimes God is calling out to us and we are so preoccupied with our personal affairs that we don't hear Him speaking. Samuel was just a boy, but the third time God called his name, he immediately replied, "speak, Your servant is listening." God is speaking to many of us today and we need to shut out all distractions and quiet our spirits so we can hear His voice.

It can be a mere whisper, it can be inaudible or loud and distinct, but we will only hear if we are attuned to His voice. When God calls, we cannot remain silent or cower in fear. He cares about us and is calling because He has something to say to us. When we answer, we must be ready to obey and do whatever He asks of us. God wants to speak to us and all we need to do is to listen and answer.

Thank you Lord for calling my name. I block out the distractions and noise around me and I wait quietly in Your Presence. When You call I will answer and obey. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
