Instead, clothe yourselves with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don't let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.

Every action usually begins with a thought, so it's critical to censor the things we have swirling around in our minds. Our thoughts can cause us to give in to evil desires and we must have control over them. To do this, we have to clothe ourselves with the presence of Christ and focus on things that are pure, lovely, worthy, noble, pleasing, uplifting, edifying and trustworthy.

Many of us may be embarrassed if others were privy to our thoughts. Our minds are constantly under attack and our thoughts can be like a battle raging within us as good and bad vie for control. We must pay careful attention to the things we watch and listen to because they can wreak havoc on our minds. Spending quality time in prayer and in the Word of God is the best defence against impure and unworthy thoughts.

Thank you Lord for Your indwelling presence. I surrender my thoughts to you and pray that my focus will be on everything that is good and pure. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
