God loves and cares for us. We can never repay Him for all He's done for us, but we can strive to live each day to please Him. In fact, our purpose in life is to please God and not people. Sometimes, for reasons of our own, we allow people to impact the things we do and we wind up displeasing God and saying and doing things that are contrary to His Word.
Everything matters to God and our thoughts, words and actions must please Him. In an age where lines are blurred between right and wrong, we need to honour God wherever we are and in whatever situation we face. In the process, relationships may suffer, but what's important is our resolve to obey Him and to never violate His laws. We're human and as such, will sometimes fail, but as we daily surrender ourselves to God and heed that inner voice within us, our lives can please God.
Thank you Lord for calling me Your child. You know my motives and my desire is to please you in all I say and do. Help me to listen to my conscience and always do what's right. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
