Bible Verse for March 12th.

But Elisha sent a messenger out to him with this message: "Go and wash yourself seven times in the Jordan River. Then your skin will be restored and you will be healed of your leprosy."

2 Kings 5:10
NLT Bible

Namaan, a commander in the king's army was stricken with leprosy. After much persuasion, he went to the prophet Elisha's home to ask for healing of this terrible disease. Namaan already had a pre-conceived idea of being instantly healed and was upset and annoyed when that didn't happen. Elisha didn't come out to greet him, but instead sent a messenger to tell him that he should wash himself seven times in the Jordan River. Namaan was angry and his pride was hurt, but he had to let go of these feelings and obey Elisha. When he did, he was healed.

We sometimes have similar emotions when God tells us how we should handle a problem. We may feel that what He's asking us to do is difficult, odd and even belittling. We want God to do it our way and our pride is injured. However, God works in unique ways and our duty is to simply trust and obey. When we do, miracles take place.

Thank you Lord for answered prayer. I don't understand why You want me to do this, but my trust is in you. Come what may, I will obey you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!
Lydia
