Bible Verse for April 24th.

The path of the virtuous leads away from evil; whoever follows that path is safe.

We live in an age where so much is being thrown at us, where things that are wrong are paraded as right and the lines seem to be blurred for so many. As a result, some are walking on a path that has the potential to lure them away from their faith and ultimately destroy them. This verse emphasizes the fact that staying on the path of the virtuous keeps us safe and away from evil.

It's a choice we must make and when we veer off course and follow the path of unrighteousness, our spiritual growth is stunted and we find ourselves in murky waters unable to get out. As believers, we must strive to follow after the things of God. This means staying away from situations, people and things that may seem appealing, but can cause us to sin. It is possible to follow a virtuous path, but we cannot do it on our own strength. We must come to God daily, surrender our lives, spend time in prayer, read His Word and surround ourselves with people who can walk with us on this journey of faith.

Thank you Lord for Your strength. Help me to not give in to temptation, but to stay on the path of the virtuous, because when I'm there, I'm safe and away from evil. I pray that my life will be an example to others and always reflect you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
