I can never escape from Your Spirit! I can never get away from Your Presence!

Psalm 139:7

Many people spend a lot of time and energy running from God, somehow believing that they can escape His Presence. Thankfully, we cannot. Wherever we go, God is there. Many things can cause us to run from God. Some of us may be running because of poor choices we've made and now we're filled with guilt and shame. Others may be trying to escape His Presence because of rebellion in their lives, many more could be blaming God for some personal tragedy and loss while some may simply be attached to their worldly and ungodly lifestyle.

Sometimes we can focus so much on getting away from God, that we actually become desensitized and numb to His Presence in our lives. The remedy is simple. If we're running from God, we need to stop in our tracks, and run directly to Him. When we do, change takes place. His Presence floods our souls, His peace fills our minds and we are open once more to His guidance and direction.

Thank you Lord for Your awesome presence. How comforting to know that wherever I am, You are there. May I never let anything cause me to run from Your Presence. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
