"And why worry about a speck in your friend's eye when you have a log in your own."
Luke 6:41
NLT Bible
Sometimes we become consumed with things that seem amiss in the lives of others and we are quick to bring it to their attention before taking a minute to reflect on our own faults. In fact, what's happening in our lives may be far worse than the flaws in the other person's life. No one likes to be judged or have their faults pointed out to them and we must be very careful if we choose to do that. We must take care of our unresolved issues first before focusing on others.
If we decide to say something, our motives must be pure and fuelled by love, empathy and concern, not out of a need to ridicule or destroy someone. Any attempt to point a finger at someone's flaws while our own lives are in disarray discredits our testimony and is hypocritical. People are usually aware of their weaknesses and don't need us to point it out. Most times the best thing we can do is simply to spend time in prayer, asking for His help and guidance to be victorious over our own faults and also those of people around us.
Thank you Lord for Your unfailing love. Help me to never be judgemental and critical of others. Let me focus on the flaws in my life and with Your help, make a positive change. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
Be Blessed!
Lydia
