As soon as I pray, You answer me; You encourage me by giving me strength.

What an assurance to know that God answers us when we pray. Immediately, we are encouraged and edified. There's power in prayer and whatever we're facing, when we come to God, we receive His strength and power to face the challenges in our lives. God will always answer, but we have to pray. We cannot expect to go through life without prayer. In fact, it should be a priority for us. Many of us can carve out time to watch our favourite television show, a sporting event or 'hang out' with friends, but when it's time to pray, we are sometimes tired or distracted and our time with God fades into the background.

God cares for us and yearns to be in a relationship with us. He wants us to spend time in prayer with Him, to worship and adore Him and bring our concerns to Him. He is always available and never too busy to hear our prayers. He will answer and will encourage and strengthen us and it is important that we come to God with a sincere and pure heart. As we pray, we need to thank Him for answered prayer, because that is His promise to us. It may not be the answer we expected, but it will be the best one, because God sees the whole picture. All we need to do is to keep on praying and trusting.

Thank you Lord for answering my prayer and for encouraging me with Your strength and power. I yearn to be in Your presence and I pray that I will always make prayer a priority. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
