"If anyone is ashamed of me and My message, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when He returns in His glory."
Luke 9:26
NLT Bible
Are we standing up for our belief in Jesus and openly acknowledging Him as Saviour and Lord of our lives? This is a question that we should be constantly asking ourselves as children of God. So often, many are tempted to be silent, to keep their faith hidden, not wanting those around them to know what Jesus means to them. It begs the question as to why this is happening and it could be because people are afraid of offending others, of being viewed as different or they just want to fit in and be part of the crowd. Sadly enough, when this is done, we've actually offended and denied the One who matters the most, our Lord and Saviour.
The consequence of being ashamed of Jesus is clearly stated in this verse. He will also deny us and be ashamed of us before His Father in heaven. If we truly love God, we will want to tell everyone about Him, so that they too can come to know Him. Time is short and we must be outspoken about our faith, sharing the Good News fearlessly, but with love and kindness. We cannot afford to be lukewarm and complacent. Our lights must shine visibly and brightly for Jesus.
Thank you Lord for saving my soul. Forgive me if I have ever been silent about my belief in You. Lord, my life would be nothing without You and I pray for strength and courage to always let my life be a witness for you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
Be Blessed!
