I have hidden Your Word in my heart, that I might not sin against You.

The Word of God is a priceless treasure and is our guide for living obedient and righteous lives. The only way this will happen is by studying the Word and allowing it to penetrate the recesses of our minds. God's Word has to be hidden in our hearts, ready for use in any situation we are facing. How do we hide His Word in our hearts? We do it by meditating, memorizing and storing His truths in our hearts and minds. When Jesus was tempted by the devil, He quoted the Word of God and that's what we need to do when faced with difficulties.

Situations may arise when we need to speak God's Word and we may not have a Bible with us, but the Holy Spirit helps us to remember His Word and we can effectively use one of the verses we have memorized to be victorious. Remember, the Word of God has power over the enemy and there's actually a verse for every trial and temptation we may encounter. We need to get into the habit of constantly meditating and memorizing The Word of God and hiding these truths in our hearts.

Thank You Lord for Your Word. Help me God to develop a deep love for it...to meditate and memorize scripture and hide them in my heart. I know that Your Word has power over sin and any situation I may face. Help me Lord to always keep Your Word hidden in my heart. I love You Jesus. Amen.
