I take joy in doing Your will, my God, for Your instructions are written on my heart.

There's so much joy in serving God and doing His will, yet so many believers behave as if doing it is tiresome and time consuming and walk around miserable, unhappy and sad. They do what has to be done, but the joy is lacking. The reason for this lies in the simple fact that they have not truly experienced the fullness and glory of Almighty God.....His love, power, strength, compassion, mercy and joy. We cannot impact others for Jesus, if we are unhappy and indifferent while serving Him.

As we make fellowship with God a priority, His love floods our hearts and we are changed. Joy fills our souls and serving Him is no longer a duty, but a privilege and we embrace this with happy hearts, ready to do God's will, to serve others and share the gospel. We are no longer unhappy, but 'alive' and it's evident in everything we do, regardless of all the circumstances in our lives. This joy is not superficial, but genuine and comes from a heart that yearns to do God's will.

Thank you Lord for Your joy. Help me to do Your will, to serve You with a heart that's filled with love, joy and happiness. Let my life inspire and influence others for Your kingdom. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
