Bible Verse for February 8th.

Always be full of joy in The Lord. I say it again - Rejoice!
Philippians 4:4

We all know people who are sad and unhappy all the time. They allow the burdens of life
to rob them of the joy that God wants them to have. We all go through slumps in life
when we may temporarily feel weighed down, but the key is learning to rise above it, to
recognize that there's absolute joy in knowing and serving God. We've all seen people
radiate joy in the midst of difficulties and we marvel at it. As children of God, we need to
be filled with His joy at all times and not allow anything or anyone to rob us of our
happiness.

When we are steadfast and rooted in our love, trust and faith in God, we are filled with
joy. We find joy in worship, in serving and leading others to Christ and by spending time
in God's Presence. We need to wake up each day, shake off any heaviness we may have,
thank God for His faithfulness and be joyful.
Recognize that true joy is not dependent on our circumstances. Abiding in God fills us
with His joy that gives us strength, keeps our minds, bodies and souls young and renewed
and serves as a witness to others.

Thank you Lord for Your joy that fills me with peace and happiness. There are times
when I may feel sad and dejected, but with Your help, I choose to be joyful, to rise above
my circumstances. I love you Jesus. Amen!
