Bible Verse for January 10th.

Give discernment to me, your servant; then I will understand Your laws.
Psalm 119:125
NLT Bible

We live in an age in which we are bombarded with information from many
sources....social media, our peers, the church and in many instances, some of the things
we are hearing may contradict what we believe. How then, can we make informed
decisions as to what's right and what's wrong and the path we should follow? Firstly, we
have to be grounded in the Word of God.. It holds the answers to all of our questions and
everything we are facing. Secondly, we need to ask God for discernment, so that we will
be able to understand His laws and precepts. This equips us with the knowledge to
discern whether something we've been told is true and in accordance with the Word of
God or if it's just a false doctrine that we need to reject.
As we spend time in prayer and in the Word, we need to be always asking God for
understanding, insight and wisdom. People will always be trying to fill our minds with
their beliefs, but as we cling to God and His Word, the Holy Spirit empowers us with the
discernment and spiritual direction needed to stay on the path God has set before us.
Thank you Lord for Your wisdom. Help me to discern what is being said to me. Let
everything 'line up' with Your Word. Help me to not get caught up in any false teaching,
but may I always hold fast to Your laws and precepts. I love you Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!
Lydia
