Today, mothers are being appreciated and there's no greater honour for a mother than having her children praise her for being virtuous and admirable. It's a testament to a godly mother who prays for her children, protects and nurtures them, recognizes their unique abilities and above all, loves them unconditionally.
On this special day, mothers are being showered with flowers and gifts, and while they are greatly appreciated, a mother's greatest desire is to see her children live purpose filled and obedient lives, adhering to the godly beliefs and values taught to them. In essence, if our mothers really matter to us, we need to do everything to make them feel special, valued and loved every day of the year. When we honour and respect our mothers, God has promised that we will have long and satisfying lives. On this day, we also remember our mothers who are no longer with us and the legacy of faith in God and love for family that they instilled in us.
Thank you Lord for my mother. Let me always love and respect her, and make her feel valued and appreciated. Bless her Lord, keep her strong and healthy, watch over her and keep her safe. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
